1. Who you are contracting with
Study OS is operated by kardo dizayee ("Study OS", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use Study OS you agree to these terms. If you are using Study OS on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for them. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement.
2. What Study OS provides
Study OS turns lecture material you upload or paste into summaries, notes, flashcards and quizzes, and provides an AI tutor that answers questions about your own material. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Study OS within the plan you have selected.
3. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date, keep your login details confidential, and you are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use Study OS to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- upload material you have no right to use;
- send spam, commit fraud, or impersonate others;
- interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, scraping, reverse engineering, resale or redistribution, or circumventing plan limits;
- generate unlawful, hateful, deceptive or harmful content, or attempt to bypass the safety limits of the AI features.
5. AI-generated content
Notes, flashcards, quizzes and tutor answers are produced by AI models and may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for your prompts, for checking accuracy before relying on any output, and for holding the rights to material you submit. Study OS is a study aid — it is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. We may filter, refuse, remove or restrict content and suspend accounts that misuse the AI features. If you believe content in Study OS infringes your rights, contact us and we will investigate and remove infringing material; repeat infringement leads to account termination.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the material you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service to you.
7. Our intellectual property
We retain all ownership of Study OS, including its software, design, documentation and branding.
8. Payment, billing and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing frequency, renewals, taxes, cancellations and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep Pro access until then. See our Refund Policy.
9. Service availability
We work to keep Study OS available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using Study OS at any time and delete your account from your dashboard. When access ends you may export your notes for 30 days, after which your data may be deleted.
12. General
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of Iraq, and disputes are subject to the courts of Iraq. We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page.
